Life Events

As a Church of England church, St Paul’s is privileged to be involved in supporting familes through important life events, whether the start of a new marriage, baptism, or the death of a loved one.

Weddings

We would be priviledges to help you arrange your wedding at St Paul’s. Please note that eligibility to get married in specific parish churches is defined by the Church of England, and these criteria are legal restrictions that we must adhere to. More information can be found on the Church of England website here. For more information about getting married at St Paul’s, contact Rev Adam Rylett or the Church Office.

Banns

We often get questions about reading banns for weddings from couples who live in our parish. This can be arranged via the Church Office.

Baptism and Thanksgiving

Many parents wish to mark the birth of a child with a baptism or thanksgiving service – we would be pleased to explain the difference and help you to choose which would be most appropriate for your family. More information can be found on the Church of England website: baptism or thanksgiving

Baptism is not just for children, many young people and adults also wish to be baptised, and we are happy to arrange these services too.

For more information about a baptism or thanksgiving service at St Paul’s contact Rev Adam Rylett or the Church Office.

Funerals

Members of the church’s ministry team are available to take funeral services either in church or at a local crematorium or cemetery. More information can be found on the Church Of England website here. The initial contact can be made either through the Church Office or via the funeral director.
